Dear Colleague,

welcome to the official website of the International Conference on Advances in Production Management Systems (APMS). Since several decades, APMS is one of the major events and the official conference of the IFIP Working Group 5.7 on Advances in Production Management Systems. Organised each three years at the beginning, APMS is now a yearly conference since 2005. Recently, APMS successfully took place in Washington (USA, 2005), Wroclaw (Poland, 2006), Linköping (Sweden, 2007), Espoo (Finland, 2008) and Bordeaux (France, 2009).

APMS 2010 will take place in Cernobbio (Como Lake, Italy), 11-13 October 2010. In addition to a scientific international conference, this event will also be:

  • a Doctoral Workshop (9-10 October 2010),
  • the opportunity to organize technical and project meetings around the event , and
  • the place to meet IFIP WG 5.7 members and experts in Production Management Systems from all over the world.

Papers will be blind peer-reviewed. Accepted papers of registered participants (see registration rules) will be included in the Conference proceedings (CD with ISBN). Then, presented papers will be included in the Conference post-proceedings (book) published by Springer in the series called "IFIP Advances in Information and Communication Technology" (IFIP AICT). Authors wil be asked to improve their final paper to be included in the Springer book after the Conference, in order to take care of the actual suggestions coming from the audience. A copy of the published book (edited by Springer) will be sent to the paying attendees.

The conference is co-organised by three Italian universities: Politecnico di Milano, University of Bergamo and University of Florence. In particular, the conference is supported by the research group on Operations&Service Management and the research group on Sustainability Management of the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering of Politecnico di Milano.
